Artificial seed
Some plants are not producing seeds and neither having seeds. So this
problem is remove using this artificial seed technique , where osmatic embryos
are encapsulated in a suitable matrix composed of sodium alginate , along with
He substances like mycorrizae, herbicide, fungicides , and insecticides
also.this technique is involes to produce seeds from cellular totipotency and
somatic embryogenesis .
For the growth of s new plantlet production some growth
regulators and antibiotics and some other nutritive substances are include in
the medium.after hardening 20-30 min. this artificial seeds are removed and
wash with water planted outside. Seed are fastly dry in open air these are
planted son these are produced seeds.
This technique is done in Mumbai BARC[bhaba atomic research
centre].
